Training

Training is our specialty!

We specialize in addressing common behavior problems such as aggression, anxiety, possessiveness, excessive barking, pulling on a lead, and more. We provide training at all levels of experience, from basic to advanced obedience (off lead). We also offer protection training for those individuals who are interested. We understand that “Dog Training” involves more than just your dog. We train YOU to keep your dog under control and strive to give you the confidence you need. We assess your home and address any issues your dog is having that may be related to its environment. In home training is tailored to individual client needs and we can cover any topic that you may find concerning.

In home training and consultation

Addressing in the home problem behaviors and obedience instruction. We can help you correct common issues listed above and anything else you may be having problems with! We analyze dog psychology directly and fix the root of the problem rather than treating the symptoms. In home training is extremely beneficial for this reason, since many factors in a dogs home may trigger certain types of behavior.

Boarding with Training and Socialization

On a case by case basis, we may offer Boarding and Training with Socialization for dogs that are high energy/high drive who’s handlers are struggling with day-to-day tasks.

Daily Boarding Rate with Training and Socialization $150/day*, minimum two (2) weeks

Group classes

In addition to in home training, we also offer group classes! Group classes focus more toward general obedience and socialization. Some pet owners may even gain extra benefit from group classes in addition to in home sessions because of the strong socialization aspects in these courses.

Classes are generally 6 week sessions meeting once per week, with a scheduled make up session for any missed classes. For end of summer and fall of 2023, our group classes are being held at Pets and Friends in Jennersville, PA. Welcome! My name is Alexis Beaudet, I am the owner and operator of Three Shepherds K9. As a business owner and animal lover I strive to provide the best service for you and your pet. My training philosophy is to educate dog owners and provide you with the tools necessary for a balanced life with you and your dog. I specialize in dog behavior problems as well as basic and advanced obedience. I am also the owner of Take the Risk Animal Foundation, a non profit animal rescue. I recently attended a seminar and training class taught by Cesar Milan “The Dog Whisperer” which was held at his dog psychology center in Los Angeles, California. My staff includes trained professionals and kennel workers who share the belief in our mission.

Hello! I am a retired New Castle County police officer who was assigned to the K9 Unit as a handler and Master Trainer for 16 years. I trained service dogs for Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania and New Jersey police agencies. My love for dogs is a lifelong passion. Prior to becoming a K9 handler I worked and trained at Patriot K9 as an assistant and trainer of civilian dogs. Later I owned and operated K9 Camp Dog Obedience School in Delaware. I have been a Master Trainer at Three Shepherds K9 since it’s inception and found this program to be the best of the best! With nearly 30 years of experience behind me and a dedication to providing excellent service, I look forward to working with you and your dog.
